Application

 

1.Special rubbers such as ethylene propylene rubber, EPDM rubber, chlorinated rubber, silicone rubber, polyurethane, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), chlorinated polyethylene elastomer (CPE), etc., are difficult to vulcanize. Organic peroxides such as DCP and BPO are generally used for vulcanization. If a single organic peroxide is used for vulcanization, the vulcanization time is too long and the vulcanization is not sufficient, making it difficult to ensure good mechanical and physical properties. Therefore, it is necessary to add TMPTMA as a vulcanizing agent to achieve good results.

2.Thermoplastics such as polyethylene, polybutylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polystyrene, CPE and EVA. By using TMPTMA and organic peroxides (such as DCP) for thermal, light, and radiation crosslinking, not only can the heat resistance, solvent resistance, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy of crosslinking agent products be significantly improved, but also the mechanical and electrical properties can be improved. Compared to simply using DCP crosslinking, it can improve product quality, eliminate the odor of DCP, and reduce the amount of DCP used.

3.The copolymerization and crosslinking modification of TMPTMA with alkyl propylene ester can significantly improve its heat resistance, weather resistance, mechanical strength, and optical properties. If a small amount of TMPTMA cross-linked methacrylate is used to modify the cast plate, the Vicat heat resistance of the organic glass produced can be improved by more than 30°C, and the wear resistance and optical properties can also be significantly improved.

4.Thermoplastic polyester and unsaturated polyester can significantly improve the strength, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, and weather resistance of products by adding TMPTMA as a crosslinking modifier. For hot pressed unsaturated polyester fiberglass products, the use temperature of TMPTMA as a crosslinking agent can reach over 180°C.

5.Coatings or adhesives based on epoxy acrylate, polyurethane, and unsaturated polyester can be modified by adding TMPTMA, and cured and crosslinked by electron beam, X-ray, ultraviolet light, or heating, all of which can shorten the curing time, improve the bonding strength and quality.

6.TMPTMA can be homopolymerized or copolymerized with other heat-resistant monomers, and its polymer film has excellent heat resistance, radiation resistance, moisture resistance, weather resistance, and electrical insulation properties. Adding TMPTMA to many microelectronic insulation materials can significantly improve many of the aforementioned properties, especially in insulation materials such as integrated circuits and printed circuit boards for manufacturing microelectronic products, which have very good application prospects.

7.Acrylic acid and styrene type ion exchange resins usually use divinylbenzene as the crosslinking agent. If TMPTMA is used as the crosslinking agent instead, not only is the dosage small, but also a new type of ion exchange resin with excellent properties such as pollution resistance, high strength, large pore size, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance can be prepared.

8.TMPTMA and acrylic acid, styrene, acrylonitrile, etc. are subject to lotion graft copolymerization, which can prepare excellent impact modifiers for thermoplastic plastics such as PVC and PS, and can also directly prepare molding plastics with excellent impact resistance.

9.TMPTMA, as a monomer with properties such as heat resistance, weather resistance, impact resistance, and moisture resistance, can be copolymerized with other monomers to produce special copolymers.
